About This Course
In this course, you’ll take your first steps toward developing an effective Internet presence by learning to create Web sites with Microsoft Expression Web.
First, you’ll learn how to design surprisingly professional Web sites with Expression Web’s templates, saving you lots of time and effort. For many personal Web projects, templates are all you’ll need!
However, every Web designer has to learn to build pages from scratch eventually, so you’ll find out how to do that, too. Using CSS and HTML, you’ll lay out a page using nothing but the extensive tools provided by MS Expression. You’ll learn about building dynamic Web pages using databases and ASP.NET, and you’ll find out how to add external style sheets to your Web design toolbox.
Finally, you’ll learn how to share your site with the world—and how to use it to earn a profit. First, you’ll discover how to get listed on search engines such as Google. Next, you’ll learn how to use your site to sell products or advertising space.
Whether you’re creating new Web sites or updating existing ones, the information you learn in this course will empower you to share your own interests or business ideas with the world.
