About Asheville-Buncombe Technical Community College
Asheville-Buncombe Technical Community College, established in 1959, is a public, two-year college committed to preparing students for employment, further education, and development of responsible attitudes needed in modern society. The College's commitment is to provide quality educational opportunities that encourage students to attain their individual, academic and career goals. The College strives to fulfill this commitment through continuous improvement of programs, employees, and support services. As a member of the North Carolina Community College system, the College is dedicated to serving western North Carolina, primarily Buncombe and Madison counties, in the role of a comprehensive community college where the doors are open to all adults who desire to continue their education.
