LaTisha Cottingham has over 18 years of experience in the healthcare industry. She has four years of teaching experience in the fields of medical billing and coding and medical assisting. Currently she is employed as the lead instructor for the Allied Health Department for a local career institute. LaTisha’s field of expertise is in the area of physician-based inpatient coding and Emergency Department coding. She holds certifications including Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT), Certified Professional Coder (CPC), and Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA). LaTisha is a member of the American Academy of Professional Coders (AAPC) and the National Healthcare Association (NHA), where she is a test proctor.
LaTrisha Howard has over 10 years of experience in the healthcare industry. LaTrisha has expertise in coding inpatient, outpatient, and ER medical records. In addition to her experience in coding, she has experience in chart auditing and physician education. LaTrisha is currently working as an ER coder and auditor for a physician billing and consulting service and holds a CCS and CPC certification, as well as being a member of AHIMA and AAPC.
Tina Williams has worked as a healthcare reimbursement specialist project manager, Director of A/R, Regional Billing manager, reimbursement analyst, and professional coder for over 30 years. She holds a Bachelor's Degree in Organizational Management, a Master's Degree in Human Service Administration, and has completed her Doctorate coursework in Healthcare Administration. She is an AHIMA Certified Coding Specialist-Physician and is a member of the American Health Information Management Association (AHIMA). She is an AAPC (American Academy of Certified Coders) Certified Professional Coder, Instructor and Certified Professional Coder. She owns her own consulting firm, San Francisco Medical Coding Institute, Inc., providing medical coding certification training and revenue cycle consultancy to Bay Area healthcare providers.
Ms. Williams currently works as a Learning Consultant with one of California’s largest HMO and healthcare providers. Her principle responsibilities include the development of inpatient and outpatient professional fee service coding training for the Northern California region. She is EPIC certified in Resolute Professional Billing and is well versed in EMR (electronic medical records). In the past 10 years, she has worked as an undergraduate faculty member and written several educational programs on revenue cycle, EMR, and hospital professional fee coding.
