North Central Michigan College is an open-door community college based in Petoskey, Michigan, offering associate's degrees and certificates. Academic classes are offered at the main campus in Petoskey, the Gaylord University Center and the Cheboygan campus. The Institute for Business and Industry Training (IBIT) is a division of North Central created to respond to the needs of the business community. The institute offers jobs skills training tailored to meet individual learner and industry needs. IBIT programs help employees acquire skills in technology, human resource management, customer service, health care, manufacturing, hospitality and employability. IBIT also helps secure state and federal funding for area training. In partnership with Ed2Go, IBIT offers on-line professional development, teacher certification, and computer skills.
