Welcome to State Fair Community College’s Lifelong Learning program. Lifelong Learning programming creates an opportunity for you to learn beyond the traditional classroom that serves a community of learners of all ages and backgrounds. State Fair Community College’s Lifelong Learning program offers you a variety of educational opportunities to assist you in acquiring the skills you need for success, while trying to meet the needs of your busy lifestyle. Lifelong learning programs include adult basic education, literacy classes, customized training for industry, and a growing community education outreach program.

State Fair Community College offers associate of applied science degrees and professional certificates in nearly 30 programs, including the two newest offerings, dental hygiene and radiologic technology. In addition to vocational-technical degrees, SFCC offers an associate of arts degree, allowing for transfer to a baccalaureate program.

The college is also the career and technical center for high schools within the district.

SFCC has long held a place in the community as a source for arts entertainment with flourishing art, music and drama departments. The addition of the Daum Museum of Contemporary Art to campus in January 2002 has further solidified that place in the community and in the state.

SFCC serves the educational needs of 14 counties in west central Missouri. The taxing district, designated in 1966, includes most of Benton and Pettis counties as well as the following school districts: Benton County R-I, Cole Camp; Benton County R-II, Lincoln; Benton County R-IX, Warsaw; Cooper County R-VI, Otterville; Pettis County R-I, La Monte; Pettis County R-IV, La Monte; Pettis County R-V, Hughesville/Houstonia; Pettis County R-VI, Smithton; Pettis County R-VIII, Green Ridge; Pettis County R-XIII, Dresden; and the Sedalia 200 School District.
Otterville was added to the district by annexation in an April 1985 election. In 1995, state legislation expanded the college's service area to include Carroll, Cooper, Moniteau, Cole, Morgan, Miller, Johnson, Henry, Saline, St. Clair, Hickory, and Camden counties. SFCC has now extended its services to eight locations throughout this service area, offering the opportunity of a college education to thousands of central Missourians.
