About College of Lake County
As a community college, the College of Lake County was founded with one overriding purpose: to meet the educational needs of Lake County residents. That's why CLC offers a wide range of courses, programs and services to meet the educational needs of people of all ages and interests. Since the college opened in 1969, more than 400,000 students have attended classes here, and today, about 18,000 students enroll each fall, including almost one in four recent high school graduates.
