Welcome to the College of Lake County’s Online Instruction Center!

To take an online course, please follow these easy steps…

Step 1: Find the Course You Want! (Enter a key word in the search box or Click on "Courses" above to select your class.) When you find your class, write down the class title, the 4-digit class number, class prefix number, and section code. Example: Your Screenwriting Career - 9028 - CWRT 23 801. You will select your start date during your required online orientation session. Click on the course title for a more detailed description, computer requirements, and a weekly syllabus.

Step 2: Register & Pay with the College
Using the 4-digit class number you wrote down in step one (such as 9028), you must register and pay with the College of Lake County. Registration and payment are easy over the phone at 847-223-1111 or online at www.clcillinois.edu/selfserv.asp Beginning Fall of 2006, CLC is requiring course payment at the time of registration. If you are not yet a student at College of Lake County, please visit our website at www.clcillinois.edu/applic.htm or call (847) COL-LEGE if you need any help or have any questions! You can complete an application online and get your CLC Student ID number in about 48 hours! Once you have your Student ID number, start at Step 2!

Step 3: Online Orientation (Enrolling on Ed2Go)
After registering with the college, you will need to complete the orientation for your course. (This is comparable to getting the key to your classroom). You will choose a username and password (if you have completed a previous Ed2Go orientation, you can sign in with the same username and password). Visit www.ed2go.com/clc and click the link marked Orientation. You will not be able to access your course without completing the online orientation. If you complete the online orientation without registering through the College of Lake County, you will lose access to the class after 1 week. Don't forget to print the Orientation information for future reference.

Step 4: Complete Your Course
On the day your class starts, return to this home page, click on classroom, log in with your username and password and you’ll be ready to start your class. At the end of the course, you may print a letter of completion.
