His experience includes instructional design and curriculum development for Loyola University Medical Center, DeVry University, as well as corporate training clients. Aaron holds a Master of Science Education in Learning Design and Technology, from Purdue University, in West Lafayette, Indiana; and a Bachelor of Science in Integrative Biology from the University of Illinois/Urbana Champaign, in Champaign, Illinois.
Although it's not a prerequisite, it is helpful if you have at least two years of technical networking experience with an emphasis on security. The CompTIA™ Network+ certification is also recommended.
This program will prepare you to obtain a CompTIA Security+ Certification designation. After completing the program, you're encouraged to set up your own exam dates and times at a testing center close to you. An exam voucher is included in the cost of tuition.
This program is compatible with the Windows 7 and later operating systems and all current Internet browsers.
This program can be taken on either a PC or Mac device. Mac users are encouraged to have access to a Windows environment on their device. You'll need to have email capabilities.

In order to take our online programs, you must have access to a computer and the Internet. You can access the program contents from any Web-enabled computer. You don't have to use the same computer to log-in to the program every time. We recommend that you have a word-processing program (Microsoft Word is best) and the latest version of Internet Explorer.
The majority of labs can be done using the online lab system. You'll receive a link to schedule the lab for each course section that includes a lab.
Yes, you can use a Mac for this program; however, it will not support the online labs. Instructions for configuring a home lab environment using VirtualBox are included in the course.
