Week 1

Learn a very important secret about children and discipline that will empower you to solve all classroom discipline problems, whether minor or severe. Then, explore what motivates student behavior and learn how to teach to students’ needs responsibly.

Week 2

Learn about how the brain’s three control centers affect your students’ behavior and how to avoid ineffective responses that can only make problems worse. Then, learn the win-win approach to discipline.

Week 3

Create a game plan for effective classroom discipline in which you and your students can agree on behaviors that are acceptable and which are not. Discover actions you can take when students choose to ignore boundaries, and learn about the reinforcing actions you should take when students choose to act responsibly.

Week 4

Learn how to deal with specific problem behaviors: the attention-demander, the apple-polisher, and the whiner. Then, learn steps that you can take that will both stop the inappropriate behavior and teach appropriate, responsible behavior as well as how to effectively deal with the arguer or excuse maker, the bully, and the fighter.

Week 5

Learn how to effectively deal with students who continually behave in ways that push your emotional buttons and try your patience and what to do when confronted with the defier, the disrespectful, and the disrupter. Then, gain a practical approach to helping students who have chosen to not work to their full potential and how to help problem students such as the do-nothing, the cheater, and the homework hater.

Week 6

Examine discipline problems that arise out of students’ need for freedom and independence as well as how to successfully deal with the procrastinator and the rebel. Finally, you’ll look at some additional strategies you can use to solve severe or recurring problems.

When can I get started?

A new session of each course opens each month, allowing you to enroll whenever your busy schedule permits!

How does it work?

Once a session starts, two lessons will be released each week, for the six-week duration of your course. You will have access to all previously released lessons until the course ends.

How long do I have to complete each lesson?

Keep in mind that the interactive discussion area for each lesson automatically closes 2 weeks after each lesson is released, so you’re encouraged to complete each lesson within two weeks of its release.

What if I need an extension?

The Final Exam will be released on the same day as the last lesson. Once the Final Exam has been released, you will have 2 weeks plus 10 days to complete the Final and finish any remaining lessons in your course. No further extensions can be provided beyond these 10 days.
