About Mayland Community College
Located in the beautiful mountains of Western North Carolina, Mayland Community College provides an intimate, exciting learning experience. With a low faculty-student ratio and modern facilities, MCC is poised to prepare students for careers in the 21st Century. A member of the 59 campus North Carolina Community College System, Mayland awards Associate Degrees, Diplomas and Certificates in 30 curriculum programs. The College now offers classes through the Regional Audio/Video Education Network (RAVEN), which gives students the options of studying via the Internet, by videocassette, using independent study or through videoconferencing. Guidance for MCC students in careers, college transfer or personal affairs is available through our Counseling Center. We also have new programs for high school students in Avery, Mitchell and Yancey Counties through our Tech Prep offerings. Information on new student enrollment is available by calling 828-765-7351 or 1-800-462-9526.
