Welcome ImageWelcome to Macomb Community College's SB-CEU Online Instruction Center!

Macomb Community College's Center for Continuing Education offers a wide range of highly interactive, affordable and convenient non-credit courses you can take entirely over the Internet and earn SB-CEU credits.

Each course is approved by the Michigan State Board of Education for 2.4 SB-CEUs.

IMPORTANT: Please note that all classes taken before December 31, 2007 must have all paperwork processed by February 15, 2008.

For all classes taken after January 1, 2008 all forms must be in within 30 days of class end date in order to receive your SB-CEU's.

SEVEN STEPS TO EARN YOUR SB-CEUs:

Step 1: COMPLETE ONLINE ENROLLMENT & ORIENTATION PROCESS

Select your class and start the online enrollment and orientation process. You will need to create a user name and password as part of the enrollment and orientation process. Note: If you register for more than one class, it is a must that you complete online enrollment & orientation for each.

Step 2: ORIENTATION COMPLETION

Print the orientation information for future reference to access your course materials, contact your instructor, and download a completion letter. Your completion of ed2go online enrollment & orientation will be verified by Macomb College staff during regular business hours. Access to the classroom will be granted to students who have completed these requirements. However, you must pay for your class or you will be dropped.

Step 3: REGISTER & PAY WITH Macomb College by the class start date.

To register and pay:
Call: 586-226-4800 or 586- 498-4000.

Step 4: MAINTAIN ATTENDANCE VERIFICATION LOG OF COURSE HOURS

Maintain a log of your time spent on course activities. Macomb will send your verification log by email once you have registered for your class.

You must show log in time equal to or greater than 24 contact hours in order to receive your SB-CEUs.

Step 5: COMPLETE LESSON QUIZZES & FINAL EXAM

Each lesson will conclude with a quiz which you must complete. At the end of the course, you must complete the final exam with a final score of 80% or better.

Step 6: RETURN the Application for SB-CEUs and Attendance Verification forms within 30 days of the class end date in order for us to begin the processing of your SB-CEUs to:

MAIL TO: Lisa Spagnuolo
14500 E. 12 Mile Road
South Campus D212
Warren, MI 48088-3896

Step 7: AFTER you have received an email from the State of Michigan telling you your class has been processed by Macomb, then LOG IN TO THE STATE BOARD OF EDUCATION'S WEBSITE: www.solutionwhere.com/mi_sbceu. Click on the Secure Central Registry (SCR). If you are new you must complete a profile. Find your class and complete the online evaluation. After the evaluation is completed your profile will automatically reflect your earned SB-CEUs.

Failure to complete any of these requirements may delay or recind your SB-CEUs. Evaluation must be completed within 30 days of your email notification or you will NOT receive your credits.

NOTE: As of May 1, 2010, you must pay the State $2.50
after you evaluate the class in order to receive your SB-CEU verified. Official paper transcripts will no longer be issued by Macomb but you must pay the State $2.50 if you choose to receive one.
