About Monroe Career and Technical Institute
Monroe Career & Technical Institute is an extension of Monroe County's four school districts, MCTI provides tuition-free career and technical education for secondary students of Monroe County. Each school day, students attend a half-day at MCTI and a half-day at their high school. MCTI offers its students opportunities to learn specific career skills and training which prepares them for entrance into the workforce or post-secondary education. The Adult Continuing Education Division provides short-term career training (less than 2 years) to adults 18 and above. Students may take classes that range from Allied Health Programs, Computer Technician Programs, Adult Culinary Programs, Hands-on-Trades Programs, Automotive and Mechanical Programs (includes Inspection classes) and Language Studies as well as Personal Enrichment Classes. We also provide GED Training and Testing.
