About Mott Community College
Welcome to Mott Community College, where student success is our highest priority! Since opening its doors in 1923, MCC has taken great pride in its reputation for academic excellence in both its general education and vocational programs.
Today, more than 16,000 students are enrolled in courses and programs on MCC's main campus and extension sites in Genesee and Lapeer Counties. The Southern Lakes Branch Campus opened to serve the educational needs of Genesee County resident in the fall of 1992, and a satellite center was established in Lapeer in 1993. In addition, several universities are represented at the University Center, providing students with the opportunity to complete the final two years of certain bachelor's degrees on the MCC campus. A Middle College opened in the fall of 1991, offering secondary education to selected students from Genesee Intermediate School District.
As the largest post-secondary education institution in the area, MCC offers you the opportunity to learn from faculty who are leaders in their fields. This faculty, as well as our extensive programs, convenient locations, small class sizes, online courses, and personalized attention are all designed to ensure student success--and we are continuously enhancing our capabilities so we can live up to this challenge.
We are here to make sure your experience at Mott Community College will be rewarding, enriching, and challenging.
Part of the mission of MCC is to provide quality higher education for the people in Genesee and surrounding counties. MCC reflects the cultural, ethnic, and gender diversity of the community, anticipating and responding to its varied needs and aspirations by providing learning opportunity for all who want to identify and develop their abilities and interests.
Again, welcome and best wishes on your academic endeavors!
