| WELCOME TO OUR ONLINE CENTER FOR TEACHING PROFESSIONALS - EARN SB-CEUS or GRADUATE CREDIT
Welcome to Madonna University's Online Course Offerings for Teaching Professionals!
The first steps are to earn State Board-Continuing Education Units (CEUs). Cost for SB-CEU courses are $129. IF YOU DO NOT want to earn Michigan SB-CEUs, go to www.ed2go.com/madonnaedu to view our entire catalog of courses. To earn graduate credit, see directions below.
Each course is approved by the Michigan State Board of Education for 2.4 SB-CEUs.
TO RECEIVE YOUR SB-CEUs, ALL FORMS MUST BE SUBMITTED WITHIN 30 DAYS OF THE CLASS END DATE.
8 EASY STEPS TO EARN YOUR SB-CEUs:
Step One
- Complete Your Online Enrollment Form and Orientation Process. You will need to create a user name and password as part of the enrollment and orientation process. (Note: If you register for more than one class, you must complete online enrollment and orientation for each.)
Step Two
- Pay for Your Course by Class Start Date
- By phone at 734-432-5804, weekdays 8:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m.
- Pay online at this secured web site:
http://cms.madonna.edu/pages/academics/continuing-education/registration
(You will be asked for a Course Code. Use the letters and numbers that appear before the dash in the section number for your course. (An example section number is CPS 6453-99). You will then be asked for a section number. Use 99 for your section number.)
Step Three
- Print orientation information for reference to your class, instructor and course materials.
- Your course enrollment will be verified by the Office of Continuing Education during regular business hours. Access to the classroom will be granted once you've met the above requirements.
Step Four
- Maintain a log of course hours. Your verification log will be emailed to you once you've registered. A minimum of 24 hours must be recorded to earn your SB-CEUs.
Step Five
- Complete your lesson quizzes.
Step Six
- Complete your final exam with a score of 80% or better.
Step Seven
- Complete your online course evaluation.
Step Eight
Upon successful completion of all steps, you will be mailed your certificate of completion.
Failure to complete any of these requirements may delay or rescind your SB-CEUs.
HOW TO EARN GRADUATE CREDIT FOR AN ED2GO, ONLINE COURSE
Each ed2go, online class is 24 contact hours of training. A graduate credit requires 15 contact hours. Therefore, one online class earns one academic credit. The nine remaining contact hours can be applied to a future course, if you choose to do so.
Step One
- Complete Your Online Enrollment Form and Orientation Process at www.ed2go.com/musbceu. You will need to create a user name and password as part of the enrollment and orientation process. (Note: If you register for more than one class, you must complete online enrollment and orientation for each.)

Step Four
- Complete the online class (and continue to accumulate your hours until you reach the number necessary for the number of graduate credits if you register for more than one credit).
Step Five
- Go to www.madonna.edu/pages/PDPFrmDoc.cfm. See our "program assignment document" on our Forms and Documents page and download to your computer. On this form, you will record your hours from the training sessions, briefly summarize the content of the sessions you've attended (150 words is sufficient), and then write an essay on how you plan to implement the knowledge in your job. There are some guiding questions on the assignment template. For every 15 hours of professional development training, you should have a paper of 3-5 pages in length. www.madonna.edu/pages/PDPFrmDoc.cfm?object=3386&folderID=79&action=files
Step Six
- Mail your Professional Development Program graduate credit course paper to our office for processing. Include the certificate(s) of completion that you receive from the Madonna Office of Continuing Education or other presenting organizations. It takes approximately two weeks from the time we receive your paper for your credit to be posted to your transcript. Our mailing address is:

Step Seven
