Internet access, email, the Microsoft Internet Explorer or Mozilla Firefox Web browser, and the Adobe Flash and PDF plug-ins (two free and simple downloads you obtain at http://www.adobe.com/downloads by clicking Get Adobe Flash Player and Get Adobe Reader). You should have the ability to read and write the English language at a high-school level. You should also be able to add, subtract, multiply, and divide whole numbers. If you are testing in the United States, you should have an understanding of the English measurement system. If you're testing in Canada, you should be familiar with the metric system.
A new version of this course will be open to students for the November session. The new version of Prepare for the GED® Test includes material in preparation for the new Reasoning in Language Arts section of the GED®.
Be advised that the current GED® test will be available to students through December 31, 2013, so students enrolled in the final October session of Prepare for the GED® Language Arts, Writing Test or in the current versions of Prepare for the GED® Test and Prepare for the GED® Math Test will have sufficient time to complete these courses and take the exam.
Students who enroll in the updated versions of Prepare for the GED® Test and Prepare for the GED® Math Test in or after November will be able to take the new GED® exam, which will be released on January 2, 2014.
