Worried about the GED® Language Arts, Writing test? Don't be! This course will help you prepare to take both parts of this two-part exam.
You'll learn the basics of usage and mechanics of the English language and then find out how to apply that knowledge in order to edit passages for the multiple choice portion of the test. After covering the basics, you will then focus on the three kinds of questions that will be encountered on the multiple choice test: correction, revision and construction shift.
You'll then learn a step-by-step approach to writing that will give you the confidence you need to craft a winning essay! You'll understand all the elements of the essay, including how the essay is scored, and what types of topics you're likely to encounter.
Lastly, you will apply your new editing skills and knowledge of usage and mechanics of the English language to proofread and evaluate your own essay.
Important: Some GED® Testing Centers require proof that you have passed a GED® preparation course or the official GED® Practice Tests (OPT's) before you can take the official GED® tests.
