Growing out of a strong commitment to the community, Sojourner-Douglass continues to work toward the goals of community self-reliance and community development. An important part of achieving this goal has been to develop a learning model which instills in students a capacity for self-development, self -expression and facilitates engagement in effective social action as members of the world community.
