About Upshur County Commission
The Upshur County Commission stands committed to promoting education at all levels. We believe this is the catalyst for our community’s future academic and economic successes, thus allowing all the distinct ability to contend in today’s global economy. We also believe that by encouraging our employees to acquire additional education is essential to not only our community's well being, but that the advancement of individual and professional development of our employees will enhance the long-term quality of life of all citizens in Upshur County.
In furtherance, the Upshur County Commission and the Office of Extended Learning of West Virginia Wesleyan College have created a tremendous educational opportunity that is now available to all Upshur County employees and our citizens. Wesleyan’s ed2go online courses are all now available for purchase to not only all Upshur County employees, but everyone who is seeking to increase their knowledge in a specific subject. This agreement reaffirms Wesleyan’s interdependence with the external communities-local, regional, national, and global-and its covenant with the people of West Virginia to share its educational and cultural resources.
