About University of Wisconsin - Marathon County
UWMC is one of 13 freshman-sophomore campuses of the University of Wisconsin System and is located in Wausau, Wi. Its Office of Continuing Education is an UW-Extension outreach program designed to meet the continuing education requirements of all citizens in the state. Most of CE's class offerings are non-credit. Students range in age from elementary school children enrolled in "College for Kids" to business people updating skills to senior citizens enrolled in our lifelong learning society, "The College of the Emeriti".
