About Wake County Public School System Community Schools

The Wake County Public School System is the largest in North Carolina and the 27th largest in the US. We have 150 schools serving over 100,000 students, and eighty-seven percent of our graduates go on to post-secondary education. Our Online Instruction program is managed by the Community Services department, an Enterprise Fund program that does not draw funding from State tax revenue.
