A new session of each course opens each month, allowing you to enroll whenever your busy schedule permits!

How does it work? Once a session starts, two lessons will be released each week, for the six-week duration of your course. You will have access to all previously released lessons until the course ends.

Keep in mind that the interactive discussion area for each lesson automatically closes 2 weeks after each lesson is released, so you’re encouraged to complete each lesson within two weeks of its release.

The Final Exam will be released on the same day as the last lesson. Once the Final Exam has been released, you will have 2 weeks plus 10 days to complete the Final and finish any remaining lessons in your course. No further extensions can be provided beyond these 10 days.

Week One

Lesson 01 - Mindful Meditation
Wednesday

Learn to describe mindfulness meditation, including the health benefits of mindfulness meditation, mindfulness-based stress reduction (MBSR), and the techniques and practices for mindfulness meditation.

Lesson 02 - Mindfulness and Happiness
Friday

Mindful happiness is not found in external things but within ourselves. Learn the multiple health benefits of practicing mindful happiness, explain how happiness is measured, and provide suggestions for engaging in activities that increase health and happiness.

Week Two

Lesson 03 - Mindful eating
Wednesday

Mindful eating is eating with intention and attention and encompasses the entire process of eating and is a healthy and pleasurable activity for satisfying hunger. Learn the concept of mindful eating and its importance in health.

Lesson 04 - Mindful Movement
Friday

Walking, Yoga, Tai Chi, and Qigong: Mindful movement is an effective way to reduce stress but there are many other health benefits, including increased mental and physical well-being. The outcome of this course is for the learner to describe the mental and physical health benefits of specific types of mindful movement, including walking, yoga, tai chi, and qigong.

Week Three

Lesson 05 - Mindful Relationships

Mindful relationships involve being present and paying attention to our relationships with ourselves and within ourselves. The outcome of this course is for the learner to describe characteristics of mindful relationships and how to develop more mindful relationships.
