The healing traditions of alternative, holistic, and integrative medicine have been practiced around the world for thousands of years. In recent years, practitioners of Western medicine have begun to recognize the benefits of incorporating these traditions into their healing methods to provide more effective care for their patients.
Designed for both health care professionals and consumers, this course explores key integrative and holistic therapeutic modalities, including the use of humor, the impact of music and sound, energy healing, and massage and bodywork. As you'll learn, both the experience of practitioners and mounting scientific evidence supports the use of these integrative techniques. Above all, you'll gain a new respect for human individuality and the healing power of the integrative health approach. (9 contact hours)
