Roberto is a veteran ed2go student who continues taking courses because of the value and convenience. Below he shares his experience in the courses he has taken and how he has supplemented his Bachelor’s with online courses:
I love taking online classes through ed2go, because I am eager to achieve my professional goals, no matter my limitations: time, money, foreign language, or age. I have been in the workplace for over 20 years and I am a passionate learner; however, I cannot afford a traditional degree. Therefore, I think online classes are designed for individuals like me who love learning, want to overcome limitations, and are committed to achieving their professional goals.
Four months ago, I felt frustrated because I applied to several universities in the United States, to study a Master’s program in Public Administration, but I did not receive financial support to study on campus, so my wife suggested I consider the possibility of taking classes through ed2go.
At the beginning, I doubted my ability to study online, but then I decided to register for the Non-Profit Management class. What a wonderful experience! The class material was unique and each assignment was practical and meaningful. I could find high quality readings in my field and study that information at my own pace. The professor was able to answer my questions and interact with me.
During this online course, I learned the most important thing about online classes; I can attend class at any time! I know my instructor posts lessons on Wednesday and Friday mornings, but I can view it any time during the week. ed2go classes are designed to let busy people attend to classwork on their own terms. Since each lesson is very well organized, I can revisit the information again when it comes time to study final exams.
After finishing my first course, I decided to take two more classes form ed2go: Foundation of Project Management and Project Management Application. These two classes have been wonderful and challenged me. I have gained valuable knowledge about focusing on projects to achieve goals within the project timeline. Indeed, I have improved my professional knowledge about project management, and ed2go has been my primary support.
Today, I am confident these courses will be highly appreciated by my future employers. Currently, employers prefer applicants that have obtained online degree because they are individuals who are genuinely committed to reviewing or updating prior education. By taking online courses, I know employers see me as an individual who is comfortable with technology and interested in conquering new challenges.
