This online training program will prepare you to use SQL Server 2008 product features and tools related to maintaining and implementation as well as to use SQL Server 2008 integration, reporting, and analysis tools to access and process the data necessary to create business solutions. This program prepares students for two exams: Microsoft SQL Server 2008 Implementation and Maintenance exam (70-432) and Microsoft SQL Server 2008 Intelligence Development and Maintenance (70-448).
The program combines lessons, tests, reading assignments, exercises, and simulated labs within the online environment. Students will also receive a resourceful student manual to use as a reference tool throughout the course.
Upon registration, you receive twelve (12) months to complete this program.

This program can only be taken on a PC. You will need Internet Explorer version 8 or higher. You will also need Windows XP, Vista, or 7. In addition, you will need Adobe Flash and Adobe Reader.
This program is compatible with Windows 8/ Internet Explorer 10, as long as the following criteria is met:
Students should have one to two years of experience using SQL Server 2008 or two to three years of experience using a previous version of SQL Server.
Chris Lobban has industry experience with an extensive assortment of hardware and software solutions. He has worked both in a help desk environment and as a quality assurance analyst, where he had to deal with an array of hardware requirements, operating systems, and computer programs every day. This broad experience, as well as his formal training as a computer networking and technical support specialist from Seneca College, gives him the foundation needed to provide support to his students. Chris’ credentials include the CompTIA A+, Network+, and Security+ credentials, as well as the Microsoft MCSE (Windows Server 2003), MCSA (Windows Server 2003), MCDST (Windows XP), and MCITP Enterprise Desktop Support Technician (Windows 7) credentials. He has working knowledge and experience with SQL Server. Additionally, he is a Microsoft Certified Trainer (MCT) and a CompTIA Certified Technical Trainer (CTT+).
By the end of the program students will know how to implement, maintain, troubleshoot, and debug SQL Server 2008, as well as to use SQL Server 2008 integration, reporting, and analysis tools to access and process the data necessary to create business solutions. This online program will prepare students to take the Microsoft SQL Server 2008 Implementation and Maintenance (70-432) and the Microsoft SQL Server 2008 Intelligence Development and Maintenance (70-448) certification exams. Upon passing both exams, students will receive the MCSA SQL Server 2008 certification.
This online training program prepares students for the Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate (MCSA): SQL Server 2008 certification. The MCSA certification validates a set of core SQL Server 2008 skills that are relevant across multiple solution areas. Students receive instructions that prepare them to take the Microsoft 70-432 and 70-488 certification exams.
This program will also allow students to practice in virtual interactive lab environments.
1. Can I register for programs if I am an international student?
Yes, because ed2go programs are online you never have to actually travel to the school. Most schools offer telephone or online registration.
2. How long does it take to complete a program?
All of our programs are self-paced and open enrollment, so you can start them when you want and finish them at your own pace. Most programs allow you 180 days after your register to complete them.
3. Do I have to buy additional materials?
No, all the materials are included.
4. Can I get financial assistance?
ed2go courses are non-credit courses, so they do not qualify for federal aid. In some states, vocational rehab or workforce development boards will pay for qualified students to take our courses.
5. What happens when I complete the program?
Upon successful completion of the program, you will be awarded a certificate of completion.
6. Am I guaranteed a job?
ed2go programs will provide you with the skills you need to obtain an entry-level position in most cases. We don't provide direct job placement services, but our facilitators and career counselors will help you build your resume and are available to give advice on finding your first job. Facilitators will also be available to use as a professional reference upon completion of the program. Potential students should always do research on the job market in their area before registering.
7. Who will be my instructor?
Each student is paired up with a facilitator for one-on-one interaction. The facilitator will be available (via e-mail) to answer any questions you may have and to provide feedback on your performance. All of our facilitators are successful working professionals in the fields in which they teach.
8. What software or hardware do I need in order to take online programs and what are the system requirements?
In order to take our online programs, you must have access to a computer and the Internet. You can access the program contents from any Web-enabled computer. You don't have to use the same computer to log-in to the program every time. We recommend that you have a word-processing program (Microsoft Word is best) and the latest version of Internet Explorer.
9. Can I use a Mac?
No, this program must be taken on a PC.

12. How do you do the applied labs if you don’t have equipment?
The majority of labs can be done using the online lab system. A link to schedule the lab is included with the course for each lab that can be done online.
