A growth mindset is an important characteristic when attempting to pursue and tackle challenging tasks. For your Gifted and Talented (GT) students, having a growth mindset can set them up for success in your class and the future. In partnership with Model Teaching, an industry leader in supporting educators, this GT course will teach you how to implement a growth mindset and support your students throughout your lesson activities. Model Teaching's Mission is to improve student performance by directly supporting teachers with quality content and resources.
Gifted and Talented (GT) students encounter challenging academic tasks that can often require a level of determination and persistence that can become stressful. While students are regularly supported in mastering challenging academic tasks, many students, especially GT students, also need methods for coping with the challenges that come their way.
Teaching a growth mindset is one way of supporting students through challenging tasks, and this course provides you with the tools and resources to be able to establish a growth mindset in the classroom. By the end of this teacher professional development course, you will have built a Growth Mindset action plan and leave with many resources that you can provide to your students to help support their growth mindset.
