Prerequisites:

For this course, you must be able to read and understand business English. Familiarity with business terms and concepts would be helpful but not necessary. If formal certification with IIBA is a goal, then the following requirements will need to be met in advance of sitting for the exam. This course satisfies the Professional Development requirement.

  • CCBA Certification: A minimum of 3,750 hours of business analysis work experience aligned with the BABOK Guide in the last seven years of which a minimum of 900 hours in two of the six knowledge areas or 500 hours in four of the six knowledge areas
  • A minimum of 21 hours of Professional Development in the past four years (This course satisfies that requirement.)
  • Two references from a career manager, client, or CBAP recipient

What is the CCBA certification?

International Institute of Business Analysis (IIBA®) provides Certified Business Analysis Professional (CCBA®) to the candidates who have successfully completed the examination based on the Business Analysis Body of Knowledge (BABOK® Guide Version 3).

It’s a two-step process.

   1. You need to submit your application with the application fee (non-refundable). You need to pass the initial screening process for the CCBA® exams.

   2. Once the IIBA® assesses your qualifications for the exam, you should schedule a date for the exam with the official testing agency. You will receive an email with the instructions once your reservation is approved. Please click here for the complete process.


Exam fee structure:

   1. The application fee is $125 USD and is not refundable (i.e. regardless of whether your application is approved or declined).

   2. The exam fee is $325 USD for IIBA members and $450 USD for non-members.
