Nikki Choyce, PMP has been involved in the project management field for almost 20 years and has worked as a consultant and trainer for much of that time. She is a Project Management Professional (PMP) and very active in the project management community. She has worked in a variety of industries, including Information Technology, Insurance, Manufacturing, Marketing, Aerospace, Construction, and Telecommunications. She has worked with Microsoft Project for over 10 years.
Erica Kirwan has more than 15 years of experience in process and project management. Previously, Kirwan served as Senior Project Manager for a Fortune 200 financial services company. She earned an Advanced Project Management Certification from Stanford University. She also holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Information Systems and a master's degree in Public Administration.
You should have at least two years experience managing projects or complete the Essentials of Project Management course.

The new PMI PMP exam beginning in January, is based on the 6th edition of the Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK) Guide which our course is also based on. The new PMP exam will have a larger focus on agile practices of which, 50% of the exam will be agile based. Our course does cover agile concepts, however, not to the degree covered in the new exam so additional study time on agile may be needed outside this course. In addition to changes in content focus, the new exam question types are also changing. Instead of just multiple-choice questions there will be additional question types such as matching and fill-in-the-blank.

No. This is a hands-on course that calls out specific keystroke commands. In every version of Microsoft Project, new features and functions are added or removed and keystrokes will likely change. Additional compatibility issues may exist with using the provided practice files.
Yes. Although this program will also cover some features / functions that are only available in the Professional edition, you will be provided with references to those functions. The main difference is that you won't be able to do the hands-on exercises associated with those functions.
