Autodesk Inventor 2021 (Voucher Included)

Prepare for the Autodesk Inventor Certified User exam and learn how to navigate the Autodesk Inventor interface. You will master key skills, including creating new part files, adding sketches to the parts, and using these sketches to create 3D solid geometry. Along with the sketched based features, you will also learn how to incorporate many additional features to both add and remove geometry. These include features such as chamfers, fillets, holes, drafts, shells, and ribs. The course content is heavily focused on hands-on exercises which require that the software be installed.

This course offers enrollment with a voucher. The voucher is prepaid access to sit for the certifying exam upon eligibility.

Jennifer MacMillan

Jennifer MacMillan has been teaching CAD for 22 years and is an Autodesk Certified Instructor (ACI). She currently manages a team of curriculum developers that design and develop curriculum for the Autodesk line of engineering software products. As a subject matter expert herself, MacMillan focuses her development efforts working specifically with the manufacturing software products. She holds a mechanical engineering degree from Dalhousie University in Nova Scotia, Canada.

Prerequisites:

There are no prerequisites to take this course, however, you should have a basic knowledge of the Windows operating system and be comfortable installing software, working with file structures, downloading files, and unzipping compressed files. You should also have a basic knowledge of design/drafting procedures and terminology.

Hardware Requirements:

  • This course must be taken on a PC. Macs are not compatible.

Software Requirements:

  • PC: Windows 10 or later.
  • Browser: The latest version of Google Chrome or Mozilla Firefox are preferred. Microsoft Edge is also compatible.
  • Autodesk Inventor 2021. A free 1-year student version of the software is included. You will be provided directions on how to download the student license for the software after registration. The student software license cannot be used in a commercial environment.
  • Note: If you have previously accessed a free trial of the Autodesk software, you may be required to purchase it separately to complete this course.
  • Adobe Acrobat Reader.
  • Software must be installed and fully operational before the course begins.
