Microsoft SharePoint 2013 Certification Training

If you are a new or an existing SharePoint user, this program will provide you with the skills you need to work within and manage SharePoint sites. Begin with an introduction to SharePoint versions, layouts, and navigation, in addition to SharePoint basics such as list and library views. Then learn to manage sites and page content, including Wiki pages. Practice working within forms libraries, creating InfoPath forms, and managing site columns and content types. Finally, experience SharePoint integration with Office applications, manage SharePoint site permissions, and participate in user communities.

During the second part of the program, learn the fundamentals of managing SharePoint sites. Create custom workflows, learn to use content approval settings, and work with Metadata. Then learn about business connectivity services, information management policies, and the organization of content using settings and rules. With these new skills, manage comprehensive sections on the Document ID Service, document sets, publish to a server, and configure and consume site search results.

Hamlet Javier earned his B.S. in Computer Science from Fredonia State University. He has been developing Web sites and Web applications for 10 years. He is an expert in ColdFusion and JavaScript and has worked extensively with JavaScript frameworks, including jQuery and the YUI Library.

Bruce Gordon

Bruce Gordon is a staff trainer and has been a Microsoft Certified Trainer since 1995. He has taught Microsoft Official Curriculum (MOC) courses on ASP.NET, ADO.NET, XML Web services, Windows Forms, WPF, Silverlight, SharePoint, SQL, and various other Microsoft product courses. He has also developed custom courseware, including courses designed to help students pass Microsoft certification exams.

Tracy Berry has been a senior graphic designer/programmer, instructor, and consultant since 1993 and has developed hundreds of logos, marketing materials, websites, and multimedia solutions for customers worldwide, including involvement in large corporate software rollouts. She has helped many organizations optimize and streamline data solutions. She teaches both onsite and online courses and has her CTT (Certified Technical Trainer) certification. Tracy specializes in teaching graphics, desktop publishing, web design, reporting/productivity applications, as well as the creation of online courses with software from leading vendors.

Microsoft SharePoint 2013 Certification Training Requirements / Prerequisites

Students need an internet connection, a current browser, and e-mail capabilities. Students must have basic computer knowledge and skills. In order to proceed to the advanced Power User portion, students need to master the End User portion of the program.

This program can only be taken on a PC. It is not Mac compatible. Students need a high-speed internet connection, Microsoft Internet Explorer 11.0 or greater,or anyversion of Firefox or Chromeand e-mail capabilities. Students must also have basic computer knowledge and skills. All lab exercises will use virtual machines to provide the student with a pre-configured environment; therefore, in addition to the previous requirements, students must have the free Microsoft Silverlight plugin installed or have administrator rights on their computer to install this plugin. Click Here to download the Microsoft Silverlight plugin. The interactive lab environments require weekly check-ins and activity. In order to proceed to the advanced Power User portion, students need to master the End User portion of the program. How long does it take to complete a program?

What happens when I complete the program?

Upon successful completion of the program, you will be awarded a certificate of completion.

Can I register for programs if I am an international student?

Yes, because ed2go programs are online you never have to actually travel to the school. Most schools offer telephone or online registration.

Can I get financial assistance?

ed2go courses are non-credit courses, so they do not qualify for federal aid. In some states, vocational rehab or workforce development boards will pay for qualified students to take our courses. Additionally, some students may qualify for financial assistance when they enroll, if they meet certain requirements.

Who will be my instructor?

Each student is paired with a facilitator for one-on-one interaction. The facilitator will be available (via e-mail) to answer any questions you may have and to provide feedback on your performance. All of our facilitators are successful working professionals in the fields in which they teach.

When can I start the program?

Our programs are all open enrollment. You can register and start the program as soon as you are ready. Please note: Once the program curriculum is accessed online or through submission of a material shipment confirmation, refunds cannot be issued.

Will I receive a certification in this program? 

You will receive a certificate of completion upon completing the program. This program will also prepare you to take the Microsoft Certification Exam 77-419. By passing this exam, you will become certified as a Microsoft Office Specialist (MOS): SharePoint 2013. The exam/ exam fees are not included in the cost of the program.

Am I guaranteed a job?

ed2go programs will provide you with the skills you need to obtain an entry-level position in most cases. We don’t provide direct job placement services, but our facilitators and career counselors will help you build your resume and are available to give advice on finding your first job. Facilitators will also be available to use as a professional reference upon completion of the program. What software or hardware do I need in order to take online programs and what are the system requirements?

In order to take our online programs, you must have access to a computer and the Internet. You can access the program contents from any Web-enabled computer. You don’t have to use the same computer to log-in to the program every time. We recommend that you have a word-processing program (Microsoft Word is best) and the latest version of Internet Explorer.
