Learn how to create a Microsoft Word Document, customize the ribbon, format your document, and edit contents. You will examine the many options available under the file tab and quick access toolbar. You will also have access to a helpful introductory practice exam.
Discover more possibilities with advanced formatting techniques, page layouts, images, and illustrations. You will practice working with tables and examine the different ways you can view you Microsoft Word document. You will also take an intermediate level Word exam.
Learn to work with long documents, manage mailings, and protect your work. You will discover how to review and collaborate on any Word document and understand the potential of comparing and combining documents. You will also learn some miscellaneous tips and tricks before taking an advanced Microsoft Word practice exam.
Janie Sullivan, MBA, MAEd, has been teaching adult learners for over 20 years. She has taught online over 10 years, specializing in writing, communications, and small business applications. She is the co-director of the Center for Teaching Excellence, an online resource for faculty development. Students must have familiarity with using a personal computer, mouse, and keyboard, be comfortable in a Windows environment, and have an ability to launch and close programs, navigate to information stored on the computer, and manage files and folders.
