Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate (MCSA): Server 2012 with Private Cloud (Voucher Included) Requirements / Prerequisites

This program is recommended for IT industry professionals with prior experience or training, or related IT certifications. All students should have a basic understanding of how to use a computer, in addition to basic networking skills. These skills can be learned in programs such as CompTIA A+ and Network+.

To earn MS Private Cloud certification, individuals must have a current MCSA Server 2012 credential, and this program is intended for individuals who do not already have that certification. Individuals holding a current MCSA Server 2012 credential should consider taking the Microsoft Private Cloud program.

This program will prepare you for the Microsoft Private Cloud industry certification exams, 70-246 and 70-247 and MCSA certification exams 70-410, 70-411 and 70-412. After completing the program, you're encouraged to set up your own exam dates and times at a testing center close to you. An exam voucher is included in the cost of tuition.

This program is compatible with the Windows 7 and later operating systems and all current Internet browsers.

This program can be taken on either a PC or Mac device. Mac users are encouraged to have access to a Windows environment on their device. You'll need to have email capabilities.

Can I register for programs if I am an international student?

What software or hardware do I need in order to take online programs and what are the system requirements?

In order to take our online programs, you must have access to a computer and the Internet. You can access the program contents from any Web-enabled computer. You don’t have to use the same computer to log-in to the program every time. We recommend that you have a word-processing program (Microsoft Word is recommend) and the latest version of Internet Explorer. For the online labs, students will be required to install and configure VirtualBox (instructions provided in program). VirtualBox runs on most 32-bit or 64-bit operating systems, including those listed above. A minimum of 4GB RAM is required and 6GB of RAM is recommended. 10GB of hard drive storage space is recommended.

Can I use a Mac?

Students who successfully complete the course will be well-prepared for the following Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate (MCSA) Server 2012 exams 70-410, 70-411, 70-412 and Private Cloud exams 70-246, 70-247. Once you complete your online program work, you can move forward to take the certification exams administered by third-party vendors such as Prometric and Virtual University Enterprises (VUE), two leading providers of technology-based testing. Both offer a network of computer-based testing centers with thousands of locations worldwide. Exam vouchers are included in the cost of tuition.

What if I don't have enough time to complete my program within the time frame provided?

The time allotted to complete your program has been calculated based on the number of hours for each program, so don't worry too much about not completing in time.
