In partnership with Model Teaching, an industry leader in supporting educators, this course offers an overview of how classroom instruction can support response to intervention, delving into the process of building your Response to Intervention (RTI) tiers and providing insight into progress monitoring as you implement the RTI model into your classroom. Model Teaching's Mission is to improve student performance by directly supporting teachers with quality content and resources. You will leave this course better able to plan academic interventions and improve your students' academic performance through the use of regular progress monitoring.
This teacher professional development course provides you with an introduction to the Response to Intervention (RTI) model. You will learn about the three RTI tiers and analyze examples of each tier in the academic areas of math and ELA. The course will cover how you might set up an RTI model for academic support, the core components of RTI, and how to collect data and evaluate that data for monitoring student progress. You will receive an intervention guide that contains examples you can use as a resource in your planning, and you will build an RTI education plan ready for implementation in your class.
