About Louisiana Delta Community College

The mission of Louisiana Delta Community College in Monroe, Louisiana, is to offer quality instruction and service to students in northeastern Louisiana through courses and programs that provide sound academic education, broad-based vocational and career training. The faculty and staff at Delta prepare students to successfully compete in a rapidly changing technology based economy. Delta is committed to innovation, flexibility and sensitivity to students' needs. It is our goal to maintain an educational environment that promotes integrity and critical inquiry in students, encouraging the achievement of students' full potentials, fostering within them a keen desire for lifelong learning in an intellectually stimulating atmosphere. Delta, it's more than a place; it's an attitude. In a study of two year public colleges in the United States and Canada, Delta rated number one in interaction with students as reported in The Chronicle of Higher Education. Louisiana Delta Community College is the only two year college located in Northeast Louisiana.
