Career Online High School is a 100% online program in which you earn both an accredited high school diploma and a career certification. COHS gives you the flexibility you need to balance work and school. The program is free to eligible employees. By enrolling in the program you will:
- Earn a diploma at your own pace.
- Gain real-world career skills with adult-focused class content.
- Get support from academic coaches to help you along the way.
Full-time restaurant management and staff of participating Franchise Owner/Operators are eligible for COHS if:
- Currently employed by a participating Franchise Owner/Operator.
- Working a minimum of 30 hours per week for that Franchise Owner/Operator.
- In good standing as determined by the Franchise Owner/Operator.

Restaurant Crew and part-time Shift Managers of participating Franchise Owner/Operators are eligible for COHS if:
- Currently employed by a participating Franchise Owner/Operator.
- You are employed by McDonald's for at least 3 cumulative months.
- Working an average of 20 hours per week or more for that Franchise Owner/Operator.
- In good standing as determined by the Franchise Owner/Operator.

You also must be at least 16 years of age prior to the first day of class and have successfully completed the 8th grade at an accredited institution.

Career Online High School focuses on the real-world skills you need to succeed in the workplace today. Once you have verified your eligibility, follow these steps to get started today!
- Step 1: Be sure you have access to a computer or tablet with internet connectivity.
- Step 2: Choose one of the nine career paths listed below.
- Step 3: Complete your Prerequisite Course within 2 weeks of enrolling (check your email for the link).
- Step 4: You will be auto-enrolled into Part 2 once you complete Part 1, but will not be able to access your classroom until Tuition Assistance through ISTS has been approved by your owner operator.
- Step 5: Request transcripts. Your Academic Coach will call you and explain how to get transcripts from past schools so that you get credit for courses you already took.
- Step 6: Complete Part 2 of the program within 18 months.
