Creating Web Pages

Create and post your very own website using HTML! First, you'll learn about the capabilities of the World Wide Web and the fundamentals of web design. Then, you'll plan the content, structure and layout of your website, create pages full of neatly formatted text, build links between the pages and to the outside world, and add color, backgrounds, graphics, and tables. You'll also learn powerful no-cost or low-cost web marketing strategies.

Intro to CSS3 and HTML5

Learn how to create state-of-the-art websites using modern CSS3 and HTML5 techniques. Take your existing HTML skills to the next level and start building sites like the pros. If you want to survive and excel in the fast-paced world of web publishing, you're going to need to keep up with ever-evolving standards. The new standard for web developers is to use CSS3 and HTML5.

Intro to JavaScript

You may already know how to use HTML and CSS to create websites. If so, you're ready to add more power to your programming with JavaScript. This programming language lets you add interactivity to your pages by creating features such as buttons, picture carousels, and collapsible panels to your web pages.

You should have basic computer skills; familiarity with files, folders, text editing, and copying and pasting.

  • This course can be taken on either a PC or Mac.

Software Requirements:

  • PC: Windows 8 or later.
  • Mac: macOS 10.6 or later.
  • Browser: The latest version of Google Chrome or Mozilla Firefox is preferred. Microsoft Edge and Safari are also compatible.
  • A text editor (like Windows Notepad).
  • Adobe Acrobat Reader.
  • Software must be installed and fully operational before the course begins.

  • Email capabilities and access to a personal email account.
