If you're planning to apply to graduate school, you'll likely have to take the GRE. This course is here to help!
Part 2 features a math review and techniques for tackling the quantitative comparison, data interpretation, and standard math questions that make up the quantitative reasoning sections, as well as how to tackle the GRE's unique new question formats. You'll find pointers on time management, anxiety relief, scoring, and general standardized test-taking, too. Be prepared to excel on exam day and to achieve your best potential score!
With GRE Preparation – Part 1 (Verbal and Analytical), you'll be prepared for all aspects of the computerized GRE® revised General Test.
Course Revised 6/13/2011.
A new session of each course opens each month, allowing you to enroll whenever your busy schedule permits!
How does it work? Once a session starts, two lessons will be released each week, for the six-week duration of your course. You will have access to all previously released lessons until the course ends.
Keep in mind that the interactive discussion area for each lesson automatically closes 2 weeks after each lesson is released, so you’re encouraged to complete each lesson within two weeks of its release.
The Final Exam will be released on the same day as the last lesson. Once the Final Exam has been released, you will have 2 weeks plus 10 days to complete the Final and finish any remaining lessons in your course. No further extensions can be provided beyond these 10 days.
This lesson continues our math review with a discussion about coordinate geometry. We'll take a look at the basics, such as intercepts and slope; then we'll explore functions and how to graph equations and functions on the coordinate plane.
The GRE quantitative reasoning sections will likely include a group of data interpretation questions. These questions aren't too difficult if you're prepared for them, and preparing for them is what this lesson is all about! You'll learn how to evaluate charts and graphs, apply your evaluations, and quickly respond to whatever the GRE asks.

My instructor for the course was VERY good at helping me to solve difficult problems and to CLEARLY walk through them step by step with me. This is a great course. I feel 100% better prepared for taking my GRE and am grateful for the opportunity to take this class online (as I live far from town). Thanks for a great learning experience!
Thanks a bunch! This has helped me greatly to remember things I thought were gone forever!
Thank you so much for everything! I've learned new ways to approach problems that I previously thought were beyond my ability! Also I so appreciate your encouraging way of communicating and your patience in explaining problems step-by-step. This course has actually helped me feel hopeful and positive about this test, instead of just terrified! THANK YOU!
The course work was extremely well organized. The material for each Lesson was clearly, and precisely outlined and presented. The Instructor was well informed, very well prepared, and very helpful.
The instructor is fabulous! She answers any and all questions, quickly and thoroughly. I would recommend this course to anyone taking the GRE's.
This course has helped to be more focused. I now know what I must to do to become better. It has been insightful information that will be used in many other test taking situations. Thank you and wish me luck!
This course was exactly what I was looking for in order to refresh myself with the material. I am so glad that I found it!
