In partnership with Model Teaching, an industry leader in supporting educators, this course will enable you to explore the five components of Social-Emotional Learning (SEL) and gain insights into how to support your students with various strategies. Model Teaching's Mission is to improve student performance by directly supporting teachers with quality content and resources. By the end of the course, you will have a personalized SEL plan and access to resources ready to be used in your classroom.
This teacher professional development course will teach you the five components of Social-Emotional Learning (SEL) and how to support students using a variety of social-emotional learning activities and strategies. You will learn about self-connections within SEL and how to teach self-awareness, self-management, and responsible decision-making. You will also learn about how to teach students to make connections with others. You will end the course with a completed SEL plan you created and utilize the graphic organizers and various resources provided to support your students in the classroom.
