FGCU Academy, founded in 2001, is Florida Gulf Coast University's non-pro?t lifelong learning program for adults, seniors and retirees. Academy programs are offered in-person and online to country clubs, communities, and organizations throughout southwest Florida. There are no grades, exams or homework. Programs are designed to facilitate interaction and connectivity between community members allowing friends, neighbors and peers to share knowledge and insights. Academy participants seek knowledge, inspiration, creativity and good health. We offer single lectures, short courses, discussion groups, day trips, travel, ?lm series and more on such topics as the arts, history, law, computers and technology, ecology, ?nance, health and wellness, music, science, photography, literature, religion, language, life enrichment, writing workshops, philosophy and more.
