About Macon Area Career and Technical Education Center

The Macon Area Career and Technical Education Center, 702 N Missouri, Macon, MO., is located on the east side of Highway 63. The school was built in 1977. Daytime programs are: Auto Mechanics, Building Trades, Business Technology, Culinary Arts, Early Childhood, Graphic Arts, Health Occupations, Industrial Welding, and Vocational Agriculture. The adult and community education program offers a variety of classes each semester. Approximately 1200-1400 students enroll in classes offered in the areas of Arts & Crafts, Computer, Health, Personal Enrichment, and Career & Technical. Classes usually begin the third week in September and the third or fourth week in January. A series of college credit classes are offered by the Moberly Area Community College through the adult/community education program.
