Need SCECHs - Ottawa Area Intermediate School District, Thompson MTEC, has partnered with ed2go to offer a flexible and convenient online way to earn SCECH hours toward your Michigan K-12 Certificate renewal.

Course Details

Courses range from 1 to 26 hours, earning between 1 and 26 SCECHs.
Each lesson includes a quiz, and a final exam is released with the last lesson.
To earn SCECHs, you must:

Score 80% or higher on the final exam.
Keep a log of your time spent in the course.
Complete the MDE online course evaluation after finishing.

Below are the following SCECH guidelines:

Step 1 - Select Course & Enroll

Select classes from our list of ed2go online SCECH approved courses
Click on the course title
Click on Enroll Now, register for your course, and go through the required online orientation

Step 2 - Pay for Course

After completing your registration online, contact Ottawa Area Intermediate School District, MTEC within one week of the class start date to make payment
We accept Master Card, VISA, and Discover charge cards

Step 3 - Educator Requirements for SCECHs

Complete a Participant Information Form for each course you take. Your name and PIC must match your MOECS record exactly.
You must keep a log of your time spent in the course, SCECH Course Log
Complete Michigan Department of Education SCECH Registration Form
Complete and submit online quizzes, by course end date
Complete and submit online Final Exam, scoring a minimum of 80%, by course end date
Complete ed2go’s course evaluation by course end date
Mail the following completed forms within 15 days of the course end date:

Participant Information Form
Michigan Department of Education SCECH Registration Form
Signed SCECH Course Log
Copy of Certificate of Completion

Complete MOECS online Course Evaluation – you will be notified by email when it is available to you (after your paperwork has been processed by SCECH Coordinator) – it must be completed to receive SCECHs.

Failure to complete any of these requirements may result in failure to receive SCECHs
