At PCTI, more than 240 skilled and dedicated staff professionals teach not only academics and technological skills, but also promote character education while delivering the curriculum in specialized career areas including: -Academy of Finance -Academy of Medical Arts -Academy of Information Technology -School of Applied Technology -School of Cosmetology -School of Automotive Technology -School of Culinary Arts -School of Education & Human Services -School of Communication Arts -School of Construction Technology -School of Service Careers -School of Business Careers -School of Performing Arts -Project Lead the Way (Pre Engineering) PCTI’s challenging academic component includes many high level courses. From Physics to Japanese, PCTI students take advantage of a rigorous academic curriculum that prepares them for acceptance at some of the nation’s finest four-year colleges and universities. Students may also take college courses via the latest distance learning technologies, as well as honors courses in English, Science, Mathematics and Social Studies. Advanced Placement courses in English, U.S. History and Spanish are also available to qualified students. Gifted and Talented, Bilingual/ESL, Special Needs and Basic Skills Improvement programs address the needs of the students with special learning requirements. The campus also serves as the North Jersey Regional Center for the Hearing Impaired. PCTI’s numerous student activities also provide students with the opportunity to test their knowledge and skills in regional, state and national competition. In short, at PCTI, students are encouraged to enjoy a “total high school experience” which challenges them to "Believe…Achieve…and Succeed"… at all levels. The adult population is also serviced at PCTI. Each year, more than 2300 adults throughout the Northern New Jersey community take advantage of the educational and career development opportunities offered through PCTI’s Adult High School, Licensed Practical Nurse Program, Apprenticeship Programs and numerous technical courses. Others take advantage of our GED site as well as our off-site Passaic County Learning Center located in downtown Paterson. “THE FUTURE”.... Over the next four years, an additional 1000 students will be given the opportunity to attend PCTI. Our recent $26 million expansion now offers our students an athletic center with competition size pool, Media Center and 30 additional academic and vocational areas.
