About Sierra College

Why Choose Sierra College? Sierra College is a fully accredited, two-year community college located in north central California. We serve Placer, Nevada, and portions of El Dorado and Sacramento counties. Our main campus is located in Rocklin just minutes from Sacramento. Other facilities include our 115-acre Nevada County Campus in Grass Valley, a campus center in North Tahoe/Truckee, training facilities in Lincoln, and a campus center in Roseville. The Community Education Program, as an integral part of the comprehensive college, strives to meet the life-long learning needs of the community by providing avocational and vocational classes and community and cultural events. Short-term, fee-based, not-for-credit courses designed to promote personal growth, professional development, and to satisfy special interests. With the assistance of computers and information technology, alternative delivery systems continue to be integrated into both the instructional and student service areas. As innovations in telecommunications evolve, education will become more accessible and adaptable to meet the ever-changing needs of today's electronically aware student; these emerging technologies will enhance learning as a lifelong process. Current enrollment at Sierra College is more than 18,000 students.
