The first vocational school in Massachusetts to open its doors to students, Smith Vocational and Agricultural High School is located in the scenic Connecticut River Valley – home to family farms, historic town centers, and panoramic views of rolling hills, forests, and pastures. Two and a half miles from I-91, it is less than 30 minutes from Amherst, Easthampton, Hadley, Hatfield, South Hadley, Westhampton, Whately, and Williamsburg. Smith Vocational Adult Community Education offers two general categories of courses – one track is geared towards working professionals needing course work for licensing requirements, or continuing education to develop their career. The other track is geared towards the individual who wants to learn a new skill or hobby.
