Continuing SCNM’s reputation as leaders in the field of naturopathic medicine, research, and stem cell therapy, the Center provides extensive research opportunities and additional clinical experiences for students by offering non-opioid pain relief options to patients. Opened in the Fall of 2021, The Ric Scalzo Institute for Botanical Medicine is a state-of-the-art molecular biology and phytochemistry laboratory that will work in collaboration with the natural products industry and other academic institutions to develop new products and improve existing botanical therapeutics grounded in herbalism’s rich tradition through scientific exploration.
