Vegas PBS Professional Development Portal for Educators

NEVADA EDUCATORS

If you are seeking renewal hours for Nevada Department of Education (NDOE) re-licensure and/or Contact Units through the Clark County School District (CCSD) toward your professional growth plan, please ensure you are in this portal: ed2go.com/vegaspbs-pde for ALL course enrollments. Instructor-moderated courses in this portal are the ONLY approved courses, i.e., courses with CTE ALIGNED PDE for CTE teachers or PDE in the title are approved. For questions on these specific teacher professional development offerings contact: 702.799.1010 (option 5) or email:  emsinfo@vegaspbs.org

In this specialized PDE portal, Vegas PBS offers several high-quality courses for your professional development training. Our online courses are affordable, convenient and geared to support your professional growth. Each course listed in the catalog is facilitated by an expert instructor with monthly start dates.

To ensure that participants are fulfilling the requirements of the courses offered, and are retaining the knowledge acquired for skill transfer, Vegas PBS strongly suggests that course participants take no more than four courses at one time.

Clark County School District Contact Units and Nevada Department of Education Licensure Renewal

Licensed employees in the Clark County School District (CCSD) may accrue Contact Units (CUs) for salary advancement by successfully completing courses that relate to their position or license, as determined solely by the CCSD Professional Growth System (PGS) Department, not Vegas PBS. Employees will need to score a 70% or higher on the first attempt of the final exam.

Educators holding licenses through the Nevada Department of Education (NDOE) may use the Vegas PBS Professional Development courses to satisfy requirements for license renewal. Employees will need to score a 70% or higher on the first attempt of the final exam.

The auto-generated certificates, along with the tracking document available through ed2go can be submitted to the Enterprise Learning Management System (ELMS) for CUs and to NDOE (OPAL) for license renewal. Please see below for details about obtaining your time tracking document.

For questions regarding CCSD Contact Units and/or to determine course alignment based on CCSD PGS criteria for CU accrual, please contact CCSD PGS Department at 702.799.4747 or pgs@nv.ccsd.net

For questions regarding the number of hours needed for license renewal, or guidance on appropriate courses for your license, please contact the NDOE.

Time Tracking

Beginning with the August 2020 course sessions, twenty-four hours will no longer be automatically reflected on the certificate of completion. Individuals are solely responsible for ensuring the number of hours needed toward re-licensure and CU obtainment are met.

All time within the course web environment is automatically logged and this will be the number of hours, up to a maximum of 24 hours, that will be reported. Download instructions on how to track time for course certifications (PDF).

Certificates for Courses Prior to August 2020

Submit requests for certificates earned prior to the August 2020 course session to emsinfo@vegaspbs.org.
