It's designed to help you build confidence with digital tools and navigate common challenges as you learn.

Lesson 1: Digital Literacy

Learners explore the core functions of digital devices, different operating systems, and effective file management techniques. They also learn to organize documents, use email efficiently, and manage schedules with electronic calendars.

Lesson 2: Managing Information Online

Learners develop skills for using web browsers efficiently and conducting effective internet research tailored to workplace needs. They evaluate the credibility of online sources and apply safe, responsible practices for gathering information.

Lesson 3: Online Tools

Learners explore secure sharing and storage of materials, use note-taking tools to stay organized, and collaborate effectively with digital tools. They gain foundational skills in creating and formatting documents, working with spreadsheets, and designing clear digital presentations.

  • A Chromebook can be used to study the features it includes, but you will not be able to practice certain skills. For the best experience, we recommend using a PC or Mac to complete this course.

  • Browser: The latest version of Google Chrome or Mozilla Firefox is preferred. Microsoft Edge and Safari are also compatible.

  • Software must be installed and fully operational before the course begins.

You have 3 months of access to the course. After enrolling, you can learn and complete the course at your own pace, within the allotted access period. You will have the opportunity to interact with other students in the online discussion area.

There is no time limit to complete each lesson, other than completing all lessons within the allotted access period. Discussion areas for each lesson are open for the entire duration of the course.

Because this course is self-guided, no extensions will be granted after the start of your enrollment.
