This is not an instructor facilitated course; however, support will be provided through email, online forms, and phone.

Prerequisites:

To complete this course, you will need a CDL or CDL Permit.

Certification Requirements:

  • CDL or CDL Permit
  • Behind-the-wheel training is necessary in order to obtain the School Bus (S) Endorsement.

Note: Students in Virginia should be aware that online training for any of ELDT's offerings is not permitted in this state. This course will not be recognized for you.

Hardware Requirements:

This course can be taken on either a PC, Mac, or Chromebook device. 

Software Requirements:  

  • PC: Windows 10 or later operating systems.
  • Mac: OS 10.6 or later.
  • Browser: The latest version of Google Chrome or Mozilla Firefox is preferred. Microsoft Edge and Safari are also compatible.
  • Microsoft Word Online
  • Adobe Acrobat Reader
  • Software must be installed and fully operational before the course begins.
  • Other: Email capabilities and access to a personal email account.

Instructional Material Requirements:

The Instructional materials are included in enrollment and will be available online.

To get a passenger endorsement on a Class A or Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL), you first need to have a valid CDL for that class. Next, you must pass a written test about passenger vehicle operations and show that you can handle these vehicles in a practical skills test. After you pass both tests, your CDL will be updated to include the passenger endorsement. This endorsement allows you to legally transport passengers while following safety rules and regulations.

Yes. Students will take the Theory portion of the FMCSA Passenger Bus Endorsement.

After you register, you will receive 3 months to complete the course. The time allotted for completion has been calculated based on the number of course hours.

This course does not fall under the ed2go standard refund and transfer policies. Once access to the course is provided, no refunds or transfers will be allowed.

This course is open enrollment, so you can register and start the course whenever you are ready. Access to your course can take 24-48 business hours.
