There are no prerequisites for this course, although a personal trainer certification or a fitness specialization is recommended.

Certification Requirements:

There are no prerequisites. However, NASM recommends that Corrective Exercise Specialization (CES) candidates have one of the following:

  • A current NASM CPT certification
  • A current health and fitness certification accredited by NCCA, NBFE or DETC
  • REPs Level 3 or higher credential (candidates outside of the US only)
  • A 4-year collegiate degree
  • A current Licensed or Certified Massage Therapist credential
