This course provides you with a comprehensive plan for implementing a peer tutoring program into your classroom. You will learn about what peer tutoring is and its benefits, particularly for English Language Learners (ELLs). You will plan how to select your student participants/student tutors, strategies for training your students, and guidance for monitoring and rewarding progress. You will learn specific strategies you can teach peer tutors to support in reading fluency, writing skills, and math proficiency.
By the end of the course, you will have built a complete peer tutoring plan ready for implementation, using the many resources and templates provided and ready for use in an upcoming peer tutoring session.
